The Healing Place

So many times we can walk around without even noticing just how broken we are. But putting on a mask won't fix the scars underneath, and sooner or later, our brokenness will reveal itself - whether it eats us up from the inside, or we explode and injure other people in the process, we can't hide forever.

Slowly, I've been realizing that I'm really broken. I've been shattered, betrayed, hurt, bitter, unforgiving. And I've been realizing that it's okay to admit this, because only when I take off the mask and face how broken I am can I enter a place of healing.

I've been realizing that it's okay to cry. Not only because I'm naturally a sensitive person, but I honestly believe that tears bring healing. I've been realizing that it's okay to relax, be still, and know that God loves me.
